About

Hi! My name is Charlotte and I am the founder and creator of Lost In Translation. I decided to start this website due to my love for all things Asian Football and culture. A continent that maybe be overlooked by some football fans. But not here. Full of untapped talent, footballing giants, passionate followings, beautiful stadiums and backdrops, there is something here for everyone.

Growing up obssessed with video games, I was slowly intorduced to Asian history through some slightly exaggerated hack n slash games such as Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors. From there, I began to learn, research and become more interested in Asian history and culture, especially in countries such as Japan and China. Prior to doing my Nurse Training at University, I was very close to doing a degree in East Asian Studies. My infuation with the continent has grown from there and I found myself watching more football and wanting to write on it too!

The aim of this website is to bring some knowledge and insight to football right across Asia. Whether it's about leagues, cup competitions, clubs, players, the national teams or stories. Football here has a rich history, one which needs to be shared outside of the geographical confines.

At present I am just one person who is writing about football in an area she loves. I do not claim to be any kind of expert, but just someone who wants to share their passion for Asian football and turning it into a hobby.
